Who is Neptune Bob?

Neptune Bob is a perpetual student of astrology. He became interested in the "cosmic science" in the late 1960s, and did numerous charts and readings semi-professionally while a philosophy major in college, mostly on his trusty Smith-Corona portable typewriter. Other interests pushed astrology into the background as more of a hobby after the mid-1970s, but Bob continued to do charts for friends and family, using mainly Rosicrucian methods.

In the 1980s, Bob began experimenting with astrology on a variety of computers, and soon discovered the joys of letting the machine do the math! First, the charts were done on the Atari 8-bit computer, then under MS-DOS, and then UNIX.

During the 1990s and into the new millenium, Bob began to study astrology more intensely than ever before, buying hundreds of books, old and new, on the subject, and several different professional software packages. He has started work on a book about the controversy that has been astrology's constant companion for centuries, and the truth underlying "the celestial science" in the conceptual framework of modern technology and ageless spiritualism.

The quest continues!

Bob uses a variety of the world's best-liked professional astrological software, including Win*Star Plus, Solar Fire and Solar Maps, among others.
